雅思口语 8分拟声词的使用

今天咱们来学一点在非英语母语者中，极高水平的学生才掌握的词--拟声词onomatopoeia  [,ɒnə(ʊ)mætə'piːə]

动物的声音：

如：A cow goes 'moo!'. [muː]

A dog goes'woof!'[wʊf]

A snake goes 'hiss!'[hɪs]

A cat goes 'meow!'/mɪˈaʊ/

A bird goes 'chirp!'[tʃɜːp]

A horse goes 'neigh!'[neɪ]

A pig goes 'oink!'[ɒɪŋk]

A sheep goes 'baa!'[bɑː]

当然了你也可以说：The cow was mooing. 奶牛正在哞哞叫。

The bird is chirping. 小鸟正在鸣叫。

The snake is hissing. 蛇正在嘶嘶叫。

...

例外：The dog was barking. 狗狗正在叫。   （因为woof是唯一一个不是动词的拟声词）

大自然的声音

leaves：rustle ['rʌs(ə)l]

e.g. I like listening to the leaves rustling. 我喜欢听树叶的沙沙声。

wind：whistle   ['wɪs(ə)l]

e.g. My favourite sound is the wind whistling. 我最喜欢的声音是风的呼啸声。

rain：drip-drop[ 'drip,drɔp]

e.g. I most like listening to the drip-dropping of the rain. 我最喜欢听语的滴答声

雅思题目示范：

What sounds remind you of your hometown/childhood?

Well, you know I grew up in a small village, so the sounds that remind me of my hometown are the birds chirping, horses neighing and pigs oinking.要知道我在一个小乡村里长大。因此我能想起我的家乡的声音有鸟儿的唧唧声，马儿的嘶鸣声，和小猪的呼噜声。

Are there any noises that you don't like?

There are plenty! For example, I hate the honking  ['hɒŋk]of cars and the screeching [skriːtʃ]of car brakes.有很多！例如，我讨厌汽车的喇叭声和汽车尖锐的刹车声。
