Examples

1、The distance is the length of the line segment between two points.

连接两点间线段的长度叫做两点间的距离。

2、Between two points, the line segment is shortest.

两点之间，线段最短。

3、The midpoint is the point which divides a line segment into two equal parts.

将一条线段分成相等两部分的点叫做这条线段的中点。

4、Two angles are complementary if the sum of their measures is 90°. One angle is called the complementary angle of the other one.

如果两个角的度数之和为90°，那么我们称这两个角互余。其中一个角称为另一个角的余角。

5、Two angles are supplementary if the sum of their measures is 180°. One angle is called the supplementary angle of the other one.

如果两个角的度数之和为180°，那么我们称这两个角互补。其中一个角称为另一个角的补角。

6、The measures of the complementary angles or supplementary angles of two equal angles are the same.

同角（或等角）的余角相等，同角（或等角）的补角相等。
