老外说“You are like sheep”什么意思？“你像小绵羊”？别被骂了都不知道！

说到“绵羊”，给人的第一感觉永远是温驯善良，但如果用sheep来形容一个人的话，就不一定是在夸你了。

大家应该都听过“羊群效应”。羊群是一种很散乱的组织，平时在一起也是盲目地左冲右撞，但一旦有一只头羊动起来，其他的羊也会不假思索地一哄而上，全然不顾前面可能有狼或者不远处有更好的草。后来，“羊群效应”也就用来比喻人的从众心理，从众心理很容易导致盲从，而盲从往往会陷入骗局或遭遇失败。

black sheep用来形容“败家子；害群之马”。

英文释义：If you describe someone as the black sheep of their family or of a group that they are a member of, you mean that they are considered bad or worthless by other people in that family or group.

关于短语来源，网上有这几种说法：

1. 白色绵羊羊毛可以被染成各种颜色出售，商业价值比较大，但黑色羊毛无法被染色，所以商业价值不高；

2. 绵羊白色居多，如果黑色绵羊混到羊群了，会变得特别显眼，容易招到狼；

3. 黑色绵羊在羊群中有时会吓到白色绵羊。

跟sheep不一样，goat指的是山羊。英文中也会用goat来形容一个人，多含有贬义色彩。

从字面看，old goat是老山羊的意思。但如果用“old goat”来形容人的话，是说这个人是“老色鬼，好色之徒”。
