1. 中国每年都要为庆祝农历新年举办电视联欢晚会，其中，最具代表性的当属央视春晚（Spring Festival Gala）。

Tip：

（1）农历新年the Lunar New Year；

（2）其中，有一层所属关系，推荐使用定语从句来表达。

2. 1983年开始推出的央视春晚可谓是中国版的“超级碗”（Super Bowl）。由于观者甚多，春晚为央视带来了创纪录的广告收入。

Tip：

（1）“可谓是”，也就是春晚被视为中国版的超级碗，被视为：be regarded as….

（2）“中国版的”，这个表达大家畅所欲言。

（3）“由于观者很多”，有一层因果关系。

3. 然而近些年来，央视春晚魅力渐失。

Tip：注意时态。春晚持续流失观众，这件事已经持续好几年了，应该用完成时态。

4. 其中一个重要原因是，地方卫视（satellite TV station）纷纷推出了自己的春节晚会于央视竞争，并以时尚的内容和大牌明星抢走了大量的观众。

Tip：

（1）“与…竞争”可以用rival，也可以用compete with，或者干脆用against；

（2）“抢走了大量的观众”可以翻译为pull away a significant number of viewer。

英译汉

The farmer and his sons

A farmer, being at death's door, and desiring to impart to his sons a secret of much importance, called them round him and said, “My son, I am shortly about to die. I would have you know, therefore, that in my vineyard there lies a hidden treasure. Dig, and you will find it.”

As soon as their father was dead, the sons undertook to take spade and fork and turned up the soil of the vineyard over again, in their search for the treasure which was supposed to be buried there. They found none.

However, the vines, after so thorough digging, produced such a crop as had never before been seen.

There is no treasure without toil, which is the right concept we should form.
