no和not的区分，这几点最容易作为考点

一、no后面可以接名词，相当于not a/ not any。也就是no后面可以接单数名词，复数名词，或者是不可数名词。例如：

There is no bridge over the river.= There is not a bridge over the river.

河上没有桥。

I have no money. = I have not any money.

我没有钱。

We have no lessons this afternoon. = We have not any lessons this afternoon.

我们今天下午没有课。

二、用于比较级的含义不同。not +比较级的意思是“不如.”， no+比较级的意思是“一样不...”。例如：

John is not taller than Tom. 约翰不如汤姆高。

John is no taller than Tom. 约翰和汤姆一样不高(=矮）。

no richer than = as poor as

no taller than = as short as

no later than= as early as

三、not只表示一般的否定，no则语气较强。例如：

He's not a thief. 他不是小偷。

He's no thief. 他决不是小偷。

四、动词不定式的否定常用not，动名词的否定用no。例如：

The teacher told him not to be late again.

老师叫他再不要迟到。

I feel sorry for not telling her the truth.

我后悔没有跟她说实话。

五、“禁止”“不许”一般只用no，不用not。

No smoking. 禁止吸烟。

No photos. 不许照相。
