新西兰媒体Stuff:
If keeping a slice of your wedding cake in the freezer isn't enough of a memento, taking the whole thing to Antarctica may be another option.
Conservators from the Antarctic Heritage Trust in Christchurch have found a "perfectly preserved" 106-year-old fruitcake in a remote Antarctic hut.
The cake, found on a shelf in a Cape Adare hut, is believed to have been taken there by Robert Falcon Scott's northern party in 1911. It had been protected by the icy conditions since.

Daily Mail/每日邮报:
A perfectly preserved cake taken to Antarctica by a party in Captain Robert Falcon Scott's expedition over a hundred years ago has been found near the South Pole.
The fruitcake, made by former Reading-based biscuit makers Huntley & Palmers, was found in a remote hut in Antarctica wrapped in paper and encased in a tin.
National Geographic/国家地理:
Famously indestructible, a fruitcake has withstood a century in the coldest, windiest, and driest place on Earth.
Conservators with the New Zealand-based Antarctic Heritage Trust recently found the 100-year-old dessert in Antarctica's oldest building, a hut on Cape Adare.
Wrapped in paper and the remains of a tin, the fruitcake is in "excellent condition," according to the trust, and looks and smells almost edible.
