1
How's it going?

= How are you?

-How are you?

-I'm fine, thank you. And you?

这样的对话,但实际上歪果仁日常打招呼用 How are you 的真的不太多,用 How's it going?

问题又来了,对于 How are you? I'm fine, thank you. 那么当面对 What's up?

2
in a bit of a hurry

= have no time

= in a rush

I'm in a bit of a hurry.

Can you drive faster? I'm in a bit of a hurry.
I can't talk with you now. I'm in a bit of a hurry.
I'm in a little bit of a hurry, so I'll check these files later.
3
slip my mind

= been forgotten

I'm sorry to forget to respond your email. It's just slipped my mind.

— Don't you know what day is today?

— Oh, it's your birthday! It completely slipped my mind.

4
happen to

Your name has just slipped my mind.

Don't worry about it. Forgetting the name of an acquaintance happens to me all the time.
5
be terrible with…

= be bad at 不擅长做某事,对...

I'm terrible with directions. I'm always getting lost.
I'm terrible with faces. I can never remember what people look like.
