联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会（IPCC）

于近日发表新报告，认为

全球平均气温最早于2030年

就会上升摄氏1.5°C，最晚不会超过2050年。

如果想要避免温度上升更多，必须采取措施

将本世纪温度增幅控制在1.5°C内。

简单来说，似乎留给我们的时间

只有短短12年，

如果不做改变，将迎来毁灭性气候。

上周末肆虐中美洲的飓风“迈克尔”(Michael)

10日以四级飓风强度从

美国佛罗里达州北部沿海地区登陆

该州州长斯科特（Rick Scott）说，

“迈克尔”可能是该地区一个世纪以来

最致命、最具破坏性的风暴”。

“迈克尔”所到之处狂风大作，

吹倒树木，摧毁房屋，暴雨如注。

受飓风影响，当地大约40万用户停电。

但是他希望如果不幸遇难

人们能知道他是誰。

其实美国东海岸一个月前刚刚经历了

4级飓风佛洛伦萨（Florence）的可怕影响，

近百万人临时疏散，而损失上百亿美元。

虽然一直都在说全球天气变暖，

会给我们带来环境的变化，

但是之前似乎都感受不到那些细微的变化，

但是随着极端天气的频发，

很多人开始有了恐惧和新的思考。

这里不得不提到

美国前副总统阿尔·戈尔(Al Gore)。

多年来致力于增进

全球应对气候变化的共识，

成为倡导环保的重要领袖人物。

2006年，由他参与制作和演出纪录片

《难以忽视的真相》(An Inconvenient Truth)，

讲述气候变暖带来的灾难性影响，

在国际上引起极大反响。

该片获得了第79届奥斯卡最佳纪录片奖，

戈尔因对环境事业的贡献荣获诺贝尔和平奖。

2017年，戈尔再度推出续集

《难以忽视的真相2》

(An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power)

记录了气候危机如何加剧，也突出展现了

许多触手可及的解决措施。

戈尔认为，“对污染大户来说，

气候危机的真相令他们难堪，

所以他们千方百计想要回避真相，

并且假装气候危机的真实与否仍有争议。

特别是化石燃料公司正在利用游说的影响

来破坏环保人士和可再生能源产业。”

The IPCC issued its bleakest report yet this week, saying that without drastic changes, the world doesn't have a hope of avoiding uncontrollable climate change.

Unless emissions are halved within 12 years and virtually eliminated by 2050, temperature increases will likely exceed 2 degrees Celsius.

Beyond 2 degrees, scientists predict temperature increases may spiral as the climate breaches a series of unique tipping points, such as the melting of the permafrost.

Coral reefs will vanish; many ancient trees will not survive; extreme weather events will become ever more common. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change paints a bleak picture.
