This is a line graph that clearly illustrates the striking increasein the number of museums and people visiting museums in China from 2013 to2015. During this period, the number of museums ascended remarkably, from 4165in 2013 to 46.92 in 2015. Meanwhile, the number of people visiting museumsshowed a similar trend, from 63.78 million to 78.11 million.
Such a scenario can be naturally associated with the increasingpopularity of museums among the public, and at least several causes can accountfor this phenomenon. For one thing, China was best characterized by the speedyadvancement in the economy in recent years, which enabled the government tohave additional money to construct an increasing number of museums. Foranother, compared with before, more museums become free of charge. Thus, thenumber of museum visitors revealed a rise.
I, as a college student, am convinced that it isof great necessity for authorities to support the policy of free admission tomuseums. Then, it is also essential for museums administrators to work outcomprehensive strategies to enhance their services. Indeed, museums arousevisitors’ enthusiasm for life and help them to gain knowledge of the history,customs and cultures.
