【日期有变,请见新文更新】各界楷模讲授身份认同、公民参与、代际对话等多个话题,启迪青年积极思考讨论,成熟认知个人和社会;并学习政治家和企业家精神,培训媒体素养和竞选活动等实践技能,切实提升领导力。Capstone Project全程由有PBS认证的媒体教师指导,每位学生都将创作和发布赋能华裔美国人社区的媒体内容,所有学生作品都将参与KQED的青少年媒体挑战大赛,收获令他们骄傲的成果,前五名媒体作品将得到500美金的UCA奖学金。

学生可以学到什么?
UCA暑期大学的课程从身份认同、公民参与、代际对话等多样深刻话题入手,辅以社会企业家精神,媒体素养和竞选活动等实践技能,将培养一批美国华裔青年成为社区领袖,带来积极影响与团结。此外,由一位美国公共广播电台(PBS)认证媒介素养教育者指导的Capstone Project为学生提供了一个难得的机会将整个大学学习的知识和技能转化为赋能华裔美国人社区的媒体内容。
Capstone Project
在UCA暑期大学期间学生会在指导老师的帮助下,亲自动手设计和完成一个媒体作品。这个Capstone Project包含斯坦福大学公民思辨课程,学生会参与KQED的青少年媒体挑战大赛,KQED的学习资源的研究证明可以提高学生Common Core能力。
在UCA暑期大学结束时,所有完成学业的学生都将获得结业证书。
前五名学生将分别获得500美元的UCA奖学金。
重磅福利!所有中学生的结业媒体作品将发布在PBS合作伙伴媒体KQED的全国在线展示。精选作品将在KQED播出,并与PBS和NPR全国各地的电视台共享。
