A Rendezvous
---by Bai Hua

After a hundred million years, you eventually find the one awaiting, me
(Assigned by whom), I come to sing of your obscure life.
When alive, you'd often think you were young, and death was a thing of others
Possible? I, a farmer at the Xin’an River would be beheaded like poet Xie Lingyun?
Looking back startled, calm down, and open the book, let's read Borges:
"This summer, I'll be fifty, and death is wearing me out, ceaselessly."
Or, Ah, to put it another way, "...I wish I were dead when born."
As the wind is after trees, it is also after alleys and iron bridges...After the rider
On the silver horse. Wind blowing the ears, death picks him right from the wind horses.
