Stratovarius乐队
Tolkki 7岁时开始弹吉他，并且每天保持8小时以上的练习，每天都跟自己的吉他睡觉。早期影响他的乐队是ABBA, The Beatles 和 The Shadows.当在电台听到“Smoke on the Water”后他对吉他的喜爱就一发不可收拾。但不幸的是，在他十二岁那年，父亲从公寓四楼跳下自杀。
1984年，他接到来自Stratovarius的电话，邀请他加入乐队。之后乐队一路高歌猛进，成为激流金属的先驱力量，完成了7次世界巡演，在芬兰连续发行3张金牌唱片，销售了近300万张唱片。Tolkki 后来离开了乐队，原因是觉得乐队已经没有更好的灵感了，继续下去也是重复以前。他说“Stratovarius走到了路的尽头，再也没有地方可去。”离开乐队后自己创作了两张个人专辑，今天的歌曲就来自其中一张。
