How can the problems of traffic congestion to be sloved?
To tell the truth, it's a bit like pulling teeth sometimes. Even though the government puts new laws into place---for example, the license plate law---drivers get around that by driving a different car on different days. A lot of upwardly mobile people own more than one car these days!
How can we improve people's diet?
Well, I think we're already starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. People are realizing that nutrition is an important aspect of their lives. Whereas in the past, people often ate food on the go, now people are taking more care to eat enough vitamins, complex carbohydrates and protein. There are fewer couch potatoes these days!
(the light at the end of the tunnel 希望之光)
What do you think companies should do to protect the environment?
Unfortunately, there is no quick fix. One first step could be to reduce energy consumption. For example, they might try using LED lights. Also, they should focus on producing biodegradable /,baɪə(ʊ)dɪ'greɪdəb(ə)l/ materials, which don't take hundreds of years to decompose.
(no quick fix 没有捷径)
How can students' discipline be improved?
I think we need to explore all avenues. Firstly, discipline needs to start at home. How can teachers be expected to control their students if the parents let their kids run wild?Secondly, although corporal punishment is not an option in this day and age, there should be some measures in place to punish students who act up. For example, detention or extra homework.
(explore all avenues 竭尽所能 )
