The upside is the possibilities contained in knowing that everything is up to us; where before we were experts in the array of limitations, now we become authorities of what is possible.
积极的一面在于，既然我们万事都取决于我们，那么我们就拥有无限可能（1分）。以前，我们能够熟练应对种种局限（0.5分），而现在我们把握着各种可能（0.5分）。
1. 本句由分号连接的两个分句构成。主干为The upside is the possibilities …; … we become authorities…。
2. contained in knowing that everying is up to us 后置定语修饰possibilities，其中that引导宾语从句做knowing的宾语。be up to us为固定搭配，意为“由某人决定”。翻译时，如果将此后置定语直译为前置定语“知道一切取决于自己所包含的可能性”，就显得不是人话，所以此处将后置定语单独译为一个分句。
3. 第二个分句中包含一个由where 引导的比较状语从句。此时，where为连词，引导从句，用于比较两个人、物或行为，可译为：然而、但是。该句中experts 并非一种职业，所以翻译是转译为动词，即：熟练应对……；
