李尔王的傻子: 我只想呵呵两声

第一场第三四五幕，傻子和乔装打扮的Kent都出场了，为李尔王和大女儿的矛盾添砖加瓦。要说矛盾，肯定有，但误会+离间+性格的不断堆积，才导致悲剧发生。

我们听到大女儿抱怨李尔王和随从的放肆无礼，对大女儿下人又打又骂，李尔王也对大女儿各种苛责。令观众无不扼腕叹息，这哪儿是尽孝啊，得了家产，反而变成没尊严的佣人。

于是大女儿让下人摆出态度，对李尔王和随从都冷淡些。李尔王哪里依啊，自己手下骑士和大女儿仆人Oswald干上了，于是回到李尔耳朵边吹风：我认为，他们对您的态度变了！李尔也说，嗯！其实我早就感觉到了！

其实转变态度就是那一天的事情，住了半个月的李尔和骑士，却认为他们早就不殷勤了！

刚才讲到，火上浇油的还有Kent和傻子。乔装打扮的Kent，依然把“忠诚”挂在嘴边，最后以暴力——踢了大女儿仆人，而取得李尔王好感。跟随多年的大臣用这招，胸有成竹收服李尔，这一踢，做实了李尔王喜欢打骂的爱好。打狗看主人，大女儿更生气了。

傻子因为跟小女儿的友谊，在小女儿走后闷闷不乐，再出场时变化较大（大家能找出原文证据吗？），喜欢唱歌，尖酸刻薄地说“实话”。在挑拨离间的时候，他说：

她皱眉头！

Thou wast a pretty fellow when thou hadst no need to care for her frowning;

她忘恩负义！

The hedge-sparrow fed the cuckoo so long, 175

That it's had it head bit off by it young.

李尔王已经不是李尔王了，只被羞辱得剩下影子：

Lear's shadow.

你二女儿将会跟大女儿一副德行

She will taste as like this as a crab does to a crab

在打脸李尔的时候，他更是一针见血

分财产，真傻逼

Thou hadst little wit in thy bald crown 125 when thougav'stthy golden one away

你把你女儿变成了你妈

thou mad'st thy daughters thy mothers

房子都不给自己留一个，最后会像没壳蜗牛那么惨

to put 's head in, not to give it away to his daughters, 25 and leave his horns without a case.

你该懂得些世故再老啊！

Thou shouldst not have been old till thou hadst been wise.

相反地，不偏不倚的圣人也在这三场出现了，不管老婆多过分，不管老丈人多过分，没有一个脸色，没一句抱怨的话，这样的人连李尔也不想往他身上撒脾气。

最后我们来欣赏一下李尔怎么变脸骂自己女儿的：

It may be so, my lord.

Hear, Nature, hear, dear goddess, hear: 230

Suspend thy purpose, if thou didst intend

To make this creature fruitful.

Into her womb convey sterility,

Dry up in her the organs of increase,

这种仇恨，谁听到都会颤抖，而起因只是女儿一个脸色而已。在自己一百个侍卫被裁成五十个时（兵权削弱预示着死亡），李尔骂得更凶了，拂袖而去，让Kent快马加鞭通知二女儿。

大家可以关注一下傻子和李尔的对话，李尔对傻子的话从最开始理解为nothing/nothing comes out of nothing(对应他对小女儿说的话)，到慢慢明白自己到底做错了什么，又同时控制不住自己的嘴巴和怒气，陷入一种懊悔，失落和狂怒混合的情绪中：

LEAR O let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven! Keep me in temper, I would not be mad.
