[语法] thus 和 so 都表示“因此”，用法有重大区别！

thus表示“因此”，跟 so 类似，但有很大区别，thus 主要有两种用法：

一、thus + 句子

如果你想表示“我那时很饿，因此吃了三碗饭”：

1. I was hungry. Thus, I had three bowls of rice.（句号+Thus+逗号）

2.I was hungry, and thus, I had three bowls of rice.（逗号+and+thus+逗号）

3.I was hungry; thus, I had three bowls of rice. （分号+thus+逗号）

虽然 thus 跟 so 意思相似，但它们有以下两个区别：

1.so 偏口语、thus  偏写作。

2.so 是连词，可以跟句子，单但 thus 是副词！是副词！是副词！（重要事情说三遍），后面不能跟句子哦！

很多人都没注意到 thus 是副词，所以常会写出像下面这样的错误句子：

I was hungry, thus I had three bowls of rice.

把上句的 thus 改成 so 就对啦！

二、thus+现在分词结构

这个结构表示“因此能…”、“以…”之意，例如：

1.He bought a car, thus making his life more comfortable.

译：他买了俩车，因此能让生活变得更舒服。

2.The store decided to run 24-7, thus increasing its revenues.

译：这家店决定全天候营业，以增加营收。

3.The company laid off many employees, thus reducing its cost.

译：这家公司辞退了很多员工，以降低成本。

注意，“thus+现在分词”结构前面一定要加逗号哦！
