早春抒怀

陆地
才许东风万顷葱，
便逢春雨乱飞红。
华章翰墨英雄剑，
曲水空流琥珀盅。
（千里淮上东风微拂，朗朗大明园万木浮青，春雨淅沥，乍暖还寒。时近三月，遥想兰亭盛会，陡叹今朝茂林修竹犹在，禊事却难再现，遂赋诗一首。）

An Lyric to Early Spring
Tr. Wu Haohao
The spring wind is blowing all things green,
But the furious storm ripped off their sheen.
Poem 'n painting are treasure of art,
But who is keen on them with his heart?
Standing by the Huai River, I can feel the spring breezes in my hair. Walking in the Daming Park, I see trees turning green with slender branches and leaves. It drizzles some time, hiding the sun behind the cloud. I sit on the bench in the Orchid Pavilion to get out of the rain. The pavilion was for literati gathering since the 3rd of the lunar March, 353 B.C. at the time of Wang Xizhi, a well-known calligrapher in the Eastern Jin dynasty. It was rebuilt in the Ming dynasty and renovated in the succeeding dynasties. Leaning against the backboard of the bench, I see trees and bamboo around growing luxuriantly than ever. But where are the men of letters?
