  • 那么可不可以用all of these呢?

  • 语法上是可以的, 但在这个语境下, 当指代所有这些东西时, 常常你会听到native speaker用all of this/all this. 你可以多观察一下

  • the Land of the Living=活人的世界

  • 反过来, the Land of the Dead就是死人的世界

  • the living, the dead是the+形容词表示类别的用法, 类似的有the rich, the poor等

  • living, alive和live这3个词都有”活着的”意思, 如何区分?

  • 先说alive, 注意它出现的位置
  • 可以说She’s still alive和There’s nobody left alive.
  • 但不能说an alive person或an alive dog
  • 像asleep, awake等其它包含a-的形容词在句中位置也和alive一样
  • 再说live, 一般多用于修饰物, 不用于修饰人; 在”活着的”这层意思基础上, 更多强调活蹦乱跳的, 活生生的意思
  • 比如We saw a real live snake!或She bought some live fish from the market
  • living可以指人或物. a living poet. living languages(仍然被人使用的语言)
  • 所以这里的the Land of the Living不能替换为alive或live
